A193 B7 stud bolts with 2H nuts
The workhorse of refinery and plant flange bolting, plus B7M for sour service and B16 for high temperature.
About b7 / 2h stud bolts
B7 is quenched and tempered chrome-moly steel and covers most carbon steel flange joints. B7M is the same steel held to a lower hardness for H2S service. B16 adds vanadium for strength at higher temperatures.

Grades
| Grade | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| A193 B7 / A194 2H | Cr-Mo alloy steel, quenched and tempered | Up to about 450°C |
| A193 B7M / A194 2HM | Hardness-limited for NACE sour service | 235 HB max |

Bolt set finder
Studs and nuts per flange joint, with d, F and H on the drawing.
Bolt set finder
Studs and heavy hex nuts for any number of ASME B16.5 flange joints.
Stud length depends on facing and gasket thickness, so add those in your enquiry.
Threads, marking, testing and coatings

UNC up to 1 inch and 8 UN from 1⅛ inch, class 2A/2B, per ASME B1.1. Metric ISO threads on request. Threads rolled or cut.
Marking
Studs and nuts stamped with grade symbol and Teshi mark, and heat lot traceable to the test certificate.
Testing
- Tensile, yield and hardness per grade
- Proof load on nuts
- Impact tests for L7 and LTCS grades
- PMI on alloy bolting
Coatings and packing
Plain, hot-dip galvanised, zinc-nickel, PTFE (Xylan-type) and others. Packed in boxes or bags by size, labelled per joint set on request.
Questions buyers ask
Can B7 studs be PTFE coated?
Yes. PTFE (Xylan-type), zinc-nickel and hot-dip galvanised coatings are available. Galvanised studs use oversized-tapped nuts.
